My Story

Dream big. You only have one life.

We all have dreams and I am a firm believer that, with determination and dedication, your dreams are possible.

In 2006 I graduated from Baylor University planning to build my career as an interior designer, but I soon felt God calling me in a different direction. While in college, I had also studied photography, and in 2008 I took a leap of faith – resigning from my design position and starting my own photography business. It was definitely challenging, but when I look back I am just so thankful I went for it.

In 2011, I started praying about a way I could use my photography to bless those facing difficult life circumstances. I soon received a phone call from a young mother whose son was in the hospital, wondering if I could would take a few portraits of him before he lost his hair to chemotherapy. That phone call would change my life and was the beginning of Fotolanthropy, now a 501(c)3 non-profit of photographers and filmmakers across the country.

I had always dreamed of creating a product line, so to help fund Fotolanthropy I designed a classic, customizable camera strap called the Fotostrap. We are now growing to include other American-made genuine leather products as FOTO, and with each purchase 10% of the proceeds are given to Fotolanthropy to help share inspiring stories of everyday heroes.

I still continue my work as a photographer and the families that we have been fortunate to work with have forever changed the way I look at photography. I am thankful to be able to capture life’s moments and to gift others with photos that can be cherished for years to come.

My little family means the world to me. My husband inspires me daily with his entrepreneurial spirit. My daughter Rose lights up my life with her joy and our golden Dutch is a 100 lb teddy bear and is the best sidekick a gal could ask for!

Thanks for stopping by, I’d love to connect!
